Yet another great discovery which I can add to my list of must-go-to Unagi restaurants!
This week, I visited the newly opened Unagi restaurant, located near Ginza station. They offer a range of delicious and traditional Unagi courses and Sakes which are greatly paired with their signature Unagi dishes.
I ordered the Unagi-Don (Grilled eel rice bowl) and Una-Kushi (5 different eel skewers) to start with. The Unagi was so thick, fatty, and so very fresh, perfectly grilled and glazed with a sweet and (a bit) spicy sauce which was unbelievably flavourful. The combination with the warm rice and freshly grilled eels was absolutely heavenly😍
The skewers were also just incredible, they were so juicy on the inside and beautifully crispy on the outside, which is a different process to pull off, but they do it magically. In fact, their creation technique is so perfect that the outside texture malts just a little that enlightens the experience and your enjoyment.
Ginza Shirayuki is a great restaurant that I recommend to Unagi lovers and to anyone who is interested in trying Unagi for the first time, why not start your Unagi adventures with the best? I loved it and I’ve already made plans to go back soon!🐟✨
